Lodge No. 2 · Est. 2024
Independent Ancient Order of Free Gardeners — Philippines
A Free Gardeners Lodge constituted under the Independent Ancient Order of Free Gardeners, uniting men of good character across the Philippines in a tradition of brotherhood, mutual aid, and service rooted in Scottish heritage since 1676.
Royale Oasis Gardener Lodge No. 2 holds the distinction of being the second Free Gardeners Lodge constituted in the Philippines under the Independent Ancient Order of Free Gardeners. Following in the footsteps of the pioneering Royale Ancient Fleur De Lys Gardener Lodge No. 1 of Taguig City, Lodge No. 2 was established to extend the reach of the Order's mission across the Philippine archipelago.
The Lodge takes its name from the Oasis — a symbol of life, sustenance, and refuge in the midst of arid surroundings. As a place where travellers find rest and renewal, the oasis speaks to the Lodge's purpose: to be a place of fraternal refuge, renewal, and nourishment for its members and their community.
The establishment of Lodge No. 2 marked a significant milestone in the growth of the IAOFG in the Philippines, confirming the momentum generated by the founding of Lodge No. 1 and demonstrating the appetite for Free Gardener values — brotherhood, charity, and mutual support — within the Filipino community. The Lodge carries forward a fraternal tradition documented as early as 16 August 1676 in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.
As the second constituted lodge of the Independent Ancient Order of Free Gardeners in the Philippines, Royale Oasis Gardener Lodge No. 2 plays a vital role in the development of the Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Philippines. Together with Lodge No. 1 and its sister lodges, it forms part of an expanding brotherhood connected to Free Gardener lodges across the world — including lodges in the United States, Germany, and beyond.
The Lodge is committed to embodying the three great principles of the Order: friendship, charity, and fidelity — working to build community and support the welfare of its members and the broader public.
"Like the oasis that sustains the weary traveller, Lodge No. 2 offers brotherhood, purpose, and renewal to men of good will across the Philippines."
The Lodge is rooted in the Filipino community and draws its membership from men of diverse backgrounds united by a shared commitment to self-improvement, fraternal fellowship, and service to others. It bridges the enduring traditions of Scottish fraternal culture with the warmth, hospitality, and communal spirit that define Filipino society.
Upon consecration, the Lodge was formally constituted with its first complement of officers, each entrusted with upholding the dignity, administration, and fraternal traditions of the Order.

Each year, the Lodge holds a formal Installation ceremony to appoint and invest its incoming officers, conducted with the full ceremonial dignity of the Order's traditions.
Following the centuries-old mission of the Free Gardeners, the Lodge provides support to brethren in need and their families, and contributes to charitable causes in the wider community.
